Product Code:SAE AIR1839
Title:A Guide to Aircraft Turbine Engine Vibration Monitoring Systems
Issuing Committee:E-32 Aerospace Propulsion Systems Health Management
Scope:This Aerospace Information Report (AIR) is a general overview of typical airborne engine vibration monitoring (EVM) systems applicable to fixed or rotary wing aircraft applications, with an emphasis on system design considerations. It describes EVM systems currently in use and future trends in EVM development. The broader scope of Health and Usage Monitoring Systems, (HUMS ) is covered in SAE documents AS5391, AS5392, AS5393, AS5394, AS5395, AIR4174.Product Code:SAE J2020
Title:Accelerated Exposure of Automotive Exterior Materials Using a Fluorescent UV and Condensation Apparatus
Issuing Committee:Textile And Flexible Plastics Committee
Scope:This test method specifies the operating conditions for a fluorescent ultraviolet (UV) and condensation apparatus used for the accelerated exposure of various automotive exterior components.Specimen preparation, test duration, and performance evaluation procedures are addressed by each automotive manufacturer脮s material specifications. This SAE Standard may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment. This document does not purport to address all of the safety problems associated with its use. It is the responsibility of whoever uses this document to consult and establish appropriate and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.Significance and UseThis test method is designed to simulate extreme environmental conditions encountered on the outside of an automobile due to sunlight, heat, and to provide an acceleration of exposure for the purpose of predicting the performance of exterior automotive materials.Unless otherwise specified, all dimensions reported in this method are nominal.
